Classes available for children 2-5 years. A special pre-school class is available for 2 – 4 year olds called ‘Tots Dance’. This fun class encourages co-ordination, musically and expression and gives children a great start in dance and movement. Dancing is a great way for your child to get active and develop physical co-ordination skills, strength and concentration whilst learning dance moves to popular song. It’s also great fun and a good way to meet other children and their parents.
Classes available for children from 2 years. Ballet Tots is a wonderful introduction into the magical world of classical ballet for girls from the age of 2 years. Ballet Tots is graceful, magical and enchanting and is both fun and creative and encourages children to express themselves through dance, music and imaginative mime.
Classes available for children from 5 upwards. Street Jazz is a fusion of commercial jazz, hip-hop and Street. These classes are fun-filled, energetic, lively and a great form of exercise, set to the most current chart music. Street Jazz dance really can improve fitness, enhance co-ordination and musicality, to create pieces of various choreography. This allows the dancers to perform with freedom of movement adding their own personalities.
This is a class for 0-3yrs of interactive storytelling, music and dance. Designed to improve learning and listening skills. Exploring many different styles of music and dance from ballet to hip hop, jive to jazz. Come on the storytelling journey and explore and have fun with your little ones.

Classes available for children from 5 upwards. Tap is an exciting form of dance which dancers wear special shoes equipped with metal taps. It is a. fun, high-energy form of dance which is a great form of exercise and helps children to develop a strong sense of rhythm and physical co-ordination as they move their feet and tap in time to music. Children learn a variety of moves, as well as dramatic expression – tap dancing is a great way for your child to get active and develop physical co-ordination skills, strength and concentration.
Lyrical dance has been defined as a dance style that embodies various aspects of ballet, jazz, acrobatics, modern and hip hop. Lyrical dance challenges choreographers and dancers to use motion to interpret music and express feelings. Choreography is often emotional, gripping, and exquisitely delicate all at the same time and generally tells a story where dance will go.
Musical theatre is a great introduction to performing arts. It helps the children with communication skills, grow in self-esteem and enjoy the benefits of improved co-ordination. This includes improvisation, movement, drama ,vocal and stage performance.
VCSOD offers birthday parties consisting of Dance/Hair/Glitter tattoos and can be tailored to any specific requirement. VCSOD runs Dance Camps in the school holidays at Margaret Howard Theatre School, Bushey from 9.30-3.30. The children's activities include singing/dancing/acting/arts & crafts and a showcase at the end of the week for parents to come and watch their children perform.
Street Zumba is an urban twist on the traditional Zumba class. Current music with a street dance feel learning choreographed dance steps to form a fitness party atmosphere.
Vanessa Class has been a dancer since the age of three and performing herself at The Royal Festival Hall since the age of 10. She trained at Arts Educational School London. After graduating and obtaining ISTD & RAD teaching qualifications she joined the Vienna Festival Ballet Company and went on tour. She was then asked to teach back at Arts Educational School and also at Sylvia Young Theatre School. Vanessa opened her first school in Harrow and Elstree over 35 years ago and has continued to expand to Bushey. She now runs an exceptional dance school with years of experience in all types of dance for children and adults and has over 170 pupils with excellent teachers working alongside her. She produces yearly shows performed at The Radlett Centre raising money for children’s charity. This gives all the children a chance to perform in a professional theatre from the age of two upwards. Every child of any ability gets to perform in these shows which involve a variety of song and dance performances in musical theatre and pop. Vanessa also takes children to perform at many charity events raising awareness to the children about raising money for poorly children and has entertained families for Rays of Sunshine , Fight for Life and many more. The various classes are run in different venues Bushey, Borehamwood and Watford.

Principal and Head of School
Vanessa has performed and taught for over 35 years, now running an exceptional dance school creating fun dance classes with high quality training and giving the children of all ages a chance to perform as one big dance family. Every class is different and its all about being inspired and having a good time.
Sasha specialises in commercial/hip-hop dance and creates fun and dynamic classes. She has a natural talent for choreography and teaching children. Sasha also runs the lunchtime clubs at Sinai School and after school clubs at Yavneh Primary School.
